EDUCATION SEMINARS
Continuing Education Credits for RNs
Contact hours will be provided as
indicated.
These offerings have been approved by the Pennsylvania State Nurses
Association,
an accredited approver and provider of nursing continuing education by
the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). At the successful
completion
of a program, each participant will receive a certificate denoting
program
name, location, date and number of contact hours obtained. Names will
be
kept on file by our organization for five years.

Practicum Participation Information
Due to the OSHA Occupational Exposure
and
Bloodborne Pathogens Standards, practicum for all seminars will be on a
model. Under NO circumstance will there be practice on live volunteer
participants.
Practicum Requirement
Certificates are obtained upon
successful
completion of the practicum portion of the IV Venipuncture
Certification
& Phlebotomy programs. Criteria that must be met include: properly
holding the device, retracting the skin, identifying the vein
(palpation),
inserting the device appropriately & obtaining a blood return on
the
practice model. PICC practicum is simulated on partners. The competency
checklist must be completed. ALL programs must be attended in their
entirety
in order to receive a certificate of program completion.
